In this fantasy world, every person’s strength is determined at birth by their assigned role. Warriors, Mages, Heroes, and Kings are destined for greatness, while the humble “villager” is supposed to be the weakest class imaginable.
Despite this rigid system, Kouji has shattered every expectation. He is able to help others and makes a living quite comfortably.
Hunting monsters, Kouji has reached the impossible level 999, and today he is town to visit the guild. As he leaves, he witnesses a hero named Rex trying to convince strong adventurers to join his party.
Later, Kouji stumbles upon a confrontation between Rex and a young demon girl named Alice. Rex is followed by Krull, a princess, and they believe all demons are evil.
Rex immediately attacks, refusing to listen to Alice’s pleas. But Kouji steps in and effortlessly blocks the Hero’s assault.
The battle quickly turns one-sided, with incredible speed, overwhelming power, and absolute confidence, Kouji defeats the Hero’s entire party without seriously harming them, leaving everyone speechless.
Kouji questions the rules that force humans and demons to be enemies simply because of the roles they were born into. His words leave Rex visibly shaken, while Alice is equally surprised that a human would risk everything to protect a demon.
Seeing how strong he is, they ask Kouji to join their party, and even Krull offers to become his wife, but Kouji simply rejects her and takes Alice out of the cave.
