It seems that Winter 2009 will be filled with a lot of known faces, or we might say anime characters, either way, the new year bring us old, and not so old, memories from series like Maria-sama ga Miteru, Shikabane Hime, Minami-ke, Natsume Yuujin Chou and old time favorite Hajime no Ippo.
Also, you might be prepared, because Birdy DECODE has a second season filled with action, and what can we say about Slayers and its new season EVOLUTION-R.
If you like “idol” anime, probably WHITE ALBUM will be your series this season. And what about powerful loli? Then Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo, Kurokami or Ride Back are ready for you.
Of course, you can’t have an anime season without an harem series, Asu no Youichi is your choice. Or how about an inverse version with Kin-iro no Corda – second passo.
The intriguing animes for this season might be Akikan!, the GONZO anime Tower of Druaga – The Sword of Uruk, the historical Genji Monogatari Sennenki and the comedy extravaganza of Maria Holic.
Finally, several OVA will be out, Seto no Hanayome, xxxHOLIC, Ichigo Mashimaro, Kodomo no Jikan, Mahou Sensei Negima, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Tsubasa Chronicle.
