Every morning, Tougo makes sure his classmates follow the school’s disciplinary rules, but lately he’s been clashing with one girl in particular.
Without knowing her name, Poemu, he constantly scolds her for having dyed hair and wearing an extremely short skirt. She claims she’s following social norms, though Tougo doesn’t believe that.
Tougo even tells her she should be more discreet, because her underwear is showing, which obviously annoys Poemu, and she doesn’t hesitate to leave him a little “souvenir.”
Later, the teacher tells Poemu that she’ll have to attend extra math classes since she’s missed several.
When she arrives at the classroom, no one is there. Tougo enters and informs her that the teacher won’t be able to attend, but he’s given her homework.
Poemu is surprised to see Tougo also sitting down to solve the problems. She doesn’t mind, and when she sees Tougo struggling, she first mocks him and then considers making a deal with him.
Tougo refuses, but Poemu still offers to help him, telling him he shouldn’t be so strict all the time.
As they leave, Poemu notices Tougo locks up the school, and he tells her he also opens it in the morning. Again, he tells her she should be more careful about how she dresses, since a pretty girl like her can attract troublemakers.
She blushes and jokingly suggests he walk her home, and he agrees. During their conversation, Poemu mentions that if it weren’t for fifty meters, they would have gone to the same high school.
And to her surprise, as they say goodbye, Tougo walks exactly that distance to his house. They’ve been neighbors, yet they’ve never met.
