Hana is a normal, introverted girl, although she feels out of place at school. She gets nervous and doesn’t think others like her.
Despite this, Hana is on the school committee and part of the team in charge of taking care of the school gardens.
At home, her father worries about her and asks how everything is going, if she’s made any friends, and even if anyone catches her attention—of course, it’s the natural jealousy of a parent.
Hana tries to calm him down, although she hasn’t actually made any friends yet.
Like every morning, Hana arrives very early to the classroom and rearranges the flowers that adorn the room. Without realizing it, she places one next to her ear and is distracted when Yosuke enters.
He is a very attentive and attractive boy, and Hana has all kinds of trouble communicating when he praises her for the flowers.
When other students start arriving, Hana slips away so they don’t see that she wore a flower as an ornament in her hair. And for the rest of the day, she wants to ask Yosuke not to tell anyone, fearing he’ll make fun of her.
At the end of the day, Hana has to go to the student council meeting. At that moment, another student from the next class, who was supposed to be teaming up with her, tells her she won’t be attending and asks her to cover for her.
That day, they have to do some hard work, and the girl simply runs away. But on the way out, Yosuke overhears her talking and decides to go help Hana, who’s working alone.
The two begin to interact, and Hana doesn’t understand why Yosuke is spending time with her. Later, they even go to get a snack, and, not knowing what he likes, Hana ends up buying him all kinds of sweets to thank him for his help.
