For some time now, due to an illness, Takuto has been hospitalized. To try to distract himself, he often plays online games, building his ideal fantasy world.
Unfortunately, one night Takuto loses his battle against an illness. However, to his surprise, he finds himself in a world very similar to that of his favorite game.
Suddenly, a character from his game, Atou, appears before him, greets him naturally and confirms that they have arrived together in a new world.
Atou also informs him that he has appeared as the King of Ruin, and according to the game, they both have great potential, but they have started from the beginning of the game timeline.
Takuto accepts his role immediately and begins to explore his new domain. However, despite being in an immense forest, he finds no creatures or food available.
Suddenly, they are surprised by a group of dark elves, who see Takuto as an intimidating being hidden in the darkness. Atou is not far behind, demonstrating why she is the King of Ruins’ right-hand.
The dark elves have been persecuted and driven from their land. Someone wants to exterminate them, and when they fled, they ended up in the forest, which is said to be cursed.
Takuto is moved by their story and decides to use his limited powers to offer them some food. Later, the elf elder worries that the King of Ruins will demand something in return for the food.
But despite his title, Takuto is a pacifist and plans to build his ideal world.
