Kazuhiko is a high school student who likes reading, especially novels with characters who suffer from loss.
Lately, he reflects on the romantic relationships between teenagers, and how 7 out of 10 are destined to fail.
Despite this, he imagines what would happen if his life changed with a romantic relationship of that kind.
Imagine a heroine with a tearful look in front of him, what if he were the protagonist of the story?
One day, while he enjoys reading, he finds Sosuke and Anna arguing at another table. And although he prefers to stay out of it, he ends up listening.
Sosuke tells Anna, his best friend from childhood, about his romantic relationship with Karen, an exchange student.
The subject becomes complicated, because Anna has feelings for Sosuke, but despite this, she encourages him not to leave Karen, even if she eventually has to return to her country.
Kazuhiko pretends not to listen to them, but when Sosuke goes looking for Karen, Anna sits next to Kazuhiko and begins to tell him her story.
In the process, Anna begins to order all kinds of food, and when it is time to pay, she ends up asking Kazuhiko for help, with the promise that she will pay him back as soon as possible.
Days later, Kazuhiko tries to collect the debt from Anna, who at lunch time continues telling her about Sosuke and Kareb, who keep asking her out, which hurts Anna, but she doesn’t want to show it.
Seeing the bill for what she owes, Anna proposes to Kazuhiko to pay him with home made lunches, and he decides to accept her offer.
Without looking for it, Kazuhiko finds that heroine with teary eyes, and she won’t be the only one.
