After a bad experience, Rei has learned that human beings can be very selfish and won’t hesitate to hurt others to get their way.
Two years have passed since then, and thanks to his parents, he hasn’t had such a bad time, but after talking with his mother, Rei accepts that he should do something.
However, as a teacher, the last thing he wants is to interact with other people… basically impossible. And when he sees a job opening in a relaxing and peaceful place in the mountains, he thinks he’s found something.
It sounds strangely appealing; there’s even a spa nearby. Rei doesn’t think twice and applies for an online interview, even though they’re looking for a teacher “with human qualities.”
After being accepted, and with a few tasks, he finally arrives at the high school. When he introduces himself to the principal, he begins to understand that this isn’t your average job.
The students are demi-humans who, for different reasons, want to transform and integrate into life in the human world. For this reason, they seek someone to teach them how to behave and avoid being exposed to danger.
Upon meeting his new students, Rei is somewhat concerned for them; after all, he himself chose to abandon the world they long to belong to.
Thus, Rei begins to teach them about human nature, so they can learn to feel, think, and act like human beings.
