In this fantasy world, different races exist, and life is very harsh for humans. So, as soon as he can, Light decides to try his luck as an adventurer.
Upon registering, he’s asked to demonstrate his skills, and when Light tries to use his Unlimited Gacha, he has trouble materializing what he wants. Despite this, he gets his registration and immediately gets to work.
After a long day, he earns a few coins. While wondering if he has enough to rent a place to sleep, other adventurers of different races attack and rob him.
At that moment, an elf kneels before him and tells him that everything will be alright. She introduces him to her team, made up of warriors from all races, and tells him that his power can help them achieve a noble goal.
Excited to meet them, Light agrees to work with them. And after some time, the group ventures into an underground labyrinth for expert adventurers.
Light lacks the experience and skills to survive on his own, so the others have to look after him all day. Finally, after several days, the boy is informed that he’s fired and that he’s simply a burden.
The very people he once admired not only turn their backs on him, but also speak ill of him and attack him with the intent to kill him.
Crawling and wounded, Light ends up activating a magic circle and is sent plummeting to the bottom of the abyss, where an immense monster appears to attack him. Unconsciously, he activates his Unlimited Gacha, inadvertently summoning Mei, a level 9999 warrior.
Mei saves him and showers him with praise, but he tells her how he was betrayed for being weak and vows to work hard to get his revenge one day.
