In this world, the Demon King has decided to seize control of everything, and he doesn’t hesitate to deploy his army and begin conquering territories.
Such is his power that other races choose not to intervene, fearing they too will be caught up in his conquest.
The battle seems inevitable, at least until the Demon King, Ahriman, receives his daughter Doux in this world.
Ahriman’s priorities shift, to the point that after a few years he summons Jahi, who halts her incursion into another territory to attend to the King.
Jahi is one of his most loyal generals, a demon in every sense of the word. Intimidating and, at times, quite cruel.
In her presence, Ahriman tells her that they must cease their operations, as Doux doesn’t appear to be a demon like the others.
The King tells Jahi that Doux doesn’t hesitate to help others, even offering food to slaves and healing them when they’re injured.
Jahi can’t understand it; at her age, she should already be thinking about torturing others. So, she’s ready to teach Doux everything she needs to know to be a true demon.
To begin, Jahi takes Doux to a nearby village, where she’ll teach her how to steal from humans. On the way, they run into two demons, and when they try to attack them, Doux thinks they’re playing.
In the village, Doux approaches an old woman in a wheelchair and, reading from a message Jahi gave her, tells her she’s there to steal from her.
When the little girl hears the woman’s story, she simply uses her power to heal her and allow her to walk again. Grateful, the old woman gives her some baked potatoes, and they become friends.
It seems Doux’s demonic education will be more complicated than she imagined.
