Because of her physical appearance, Yumeko has felt inferior to others for practically her entire life.
Lacking confidence, and seemingly without anyone to rely on, Yumeko is found injured, and it is assumed that she jumped from an apartment in the fourth story.
However, the 24-year-old opens her eyes again as paramedics try to stabilize her condition. The last thing Yumeko thinks is that she wants to be reincarnated as a different person.
Later, the young woman regains consciousness in a hospital bed. Her parents are nearby and quickly communicate with their daughter.
Yumeko doesn’t remember them, and when she asks to borrow a mirror, her parents are hesitant; after all, she never liked her appearance.
However, when Yumeko looks in the mirror, she sees a girl who has gained a few pounds, but with a new attitude toward life. Especially when they begin to tell her some things about her old self.
Surprisingly, Yumeko only has a few scratches, and when her mother asks if she’s going to work, she’s surprised to learn she’s a productive adult.
Though looking at the photos on her phone, she wonders if she used to be some kind of photographer, or a stalker.
She finds a dress she likes and decides to start her day as if it were an adventure. As she walks through the park on her way to the office, she finds Keisuke, the person who appears in her photos, looking panicked.
Yumeko doesn’t hesitate to approach Keisuke and ask if he’s okay. He happens to be an important manager, but every morning he suffers from anxiety as he heads to work.
At the office, Yumeko surprises everyone with her new personality, but immediately shakes up the office with her new ideas, which she had previously avoided sharing.
