Fia is a young woman born into a family of knights who dreams of following in their footsteps. Unfortunately, Fia is not exactly the best swordswoman.
Despite her determination and enthusiasm, her lack of talent makes becoming a knight an uphill battle. But still, she decides to take the test, challenge and defeat a demon on her own in the forest.
Fia hopes to prove herself, however she is immediately challenged when she encounters a dragon. Thinking it is a sick bird, she heals a terrible creature who doesn’t hesitate to attack her.
Outmatched and seriously wounded, Fia finds herself on the verge of death. However, rather than meeting her end, the desperate situation triggers something buried deep within her memories.
Suddenly, Fia remembers who she was in her previous life: Seraphina, a legendary Saint who fought against the Demon King and possessed extraordinary magical abilities.
Her memories reveal a tragic past, one in which her own companions betrayed her, leaving her at the mercy of the enemy.
Captured and subjected to terrible suffering, she learned the painful lesson that being a Saint did not necessarily mean being respected, protected, or even safe.
Her former life ended in misery, and those memories return with all their accompanying fear, because a demon cursed her, even after life.
Now, faced with the possibility of repeating that fate, Fia has no intention of allowing history to repeat itself.
Yet Fia’s immediate problem is the dragon standing before her. Despite the danger, her kindness changes the course of their encounter. And thanks to her saint healing powers, she is safe.
The dragon, named Zavilia, reveals that it can communicate with her, and the two eventually establish a pact and gains a powerful new companion.
