Anastasia has everything in life: she is unconditionally loved by her parents, incredibly talented, and beautiful. But her family, of noble tradition, has fallen into disgrace, and for years she has been forced to separate from her younger sister, Marie.
Now, to regain their position and wealth, her parents want to marry her off to a nobleman and throw a lavish party on Marie’s birthday.
Marie admires and loves Anastasia very much, but her parents have forced her to act as a servant to the family, abusing her physically and emotionally, and have destroyed her self-esteem.
On the day of her sister’s presentation, Marie ends up seeing how everyone pays attention to her sister and no one remembers her birthday.
She decides to leave the party and returns to the old house where she is forced to live, far from the main mansion. While she reflects, Kyros approaches her and asks where the party is.
Kyros is a duke from a distant land, who immediately stands out due to his skin color and green eyes. Marie doesn’t hesitate to ask him about his past and, fascinated by the story she read in the books, begins to chat with him.
However, Kyros has been invited to celebrate Anastasia, not Marie’s birthday, and she tells him to go to the mansion.
Kyros is impressed by the young woman, although at first he mistakes her for a worker and not the daughter of a nobleman.
Days later, Kyros decides to ask for Marie’s hand in marriage, but everyone thinks he wants Anastasia. On the way to Kyros’s domain, Anastasia dies, and Marie is forced to take her place.
