For Yonosuke, nothing is more interesting and fun than rom-coms, especially those where childhood friends end up in a sweet romance with the protagonist.
Yonosuke knows it’s all fiction; however, sometimes he wishes he could experience something like that. For now, he has his childhood friends, but he knows that something like that will never happen to him.
Or at least that’s Yonosuke’s perception, because to begin with, Shio doesn’t hesitate to wake him up every day in ways that deeply confuse him.
On the way to school, Shio clings to Yonosuke’s arm, and at one point, she pretends to have twisted her ankle so he’ll help her.
Shio makes herself vulnerable to him, even though she no longer knows how to get his attention and start a real relationship.
Finally, she convinces him to take her hand, and before they arrive at school, Akari surprises them and expresses her displeasure. However, she accuses Yonosuke of being a pervert, while Shio tries to tell him otherwise.
Akari leaves them, frustrated as always. She’s actually jealous of Shio and also wants Yonosuke’s attention.
However, since they started at this school, Akari has acted very cold and distant, and Yonosuke is obviously confused.
Both girls keep making advances toward Yonosuke, and their classmates hate seeing them showering him with attention.
Yonosuke is adamant: they’re both his childhood friends, but he would never see them as women, even though deep down, nothing would make him happier.
