At a very young age, Ein was orphaned. And in this world of magic, where children inherit their parents’ profession, Ein is left with nothing.
Without a path to follow, Ein tries to become an adventurer; however, his skills only reach the level of an appraiser, which immediately places him at the bottom of his new profession.
Despite this, Ein tries to look for an opportunity, and only a couple of adventurers offer it. Unfortunately for him, they treat him worse than a criminal.
During an exploration, and after being humiliated by Zoid, the group finds the corpse of a hellhound.
That kind of monster shouldn’t be in that part of the dungeon, and later they find another one, and many more. Zoid urges Ein to do his job, but he insists they must leave before an accident occurs.
And as expected, a pack of hellhounds corner them, seemingly out of their territory in search of food. When the attack is imminent, Zoid orders his companion to immobilize Ein while they escape.
Ein is bitten several times, which breaks the spell and allows him to search for the exit, but Zoid has betrayed him again and blocked the only way out.
Ein’s life is racing through his mind, and on the brink of an abyss, he decides it’s better to fall than to be devoured alive.
Surprisingly, Ein doesn’t die, and Yuuri, the spirit of a magical tree, decides to heal him. Upon awakening, Ein doesn’t understand what has happened, but doesn’t hesitate to thank the immense tree for its help.
This simple gesture will change Ein’s life, and together with Yuuri and his guardian, Ursula, they set out to travel the world.
