Human beings rely on the miracles of fairies, while the fairies that have materialized in this world survive on the music played by humans. The fairies` powers are directed by Dantists, who play special music and are widely respected.
Most fairies don`t usually appear, but some have enough power to materialize in the shapes of human beings or animals to spend their time living in peace together with mankind.
This is a story of the budding love between Conticarte and a new Dantist, Phoron, who reside in Polyphonica, a continent where people and fairies live together in harmony.
Phoron Tatara, the main protagonist. Phoron is a Dantist working in the Tsuge Divine Music Player office. Although he’s the master of the Red spirit, Corticarte practically is more in control. He plays an organ-like instrument that can transform into a motorbike.
Corticarte Apa Lagranges, the spirit Tatara made contract with. Corty, as Phoron called her, is one of the eldest spirits in their world, having six wings and called the Red Elder Spirit —as well as other titles such as Crimson Annihilator or Bloody Duchess. She’s entranced by young Phoron’s singing voice and thus decided to make a pact with him so he will be her’s only.
Most of the time, Corty had the appearance of a child. She had selfish character and doesn’t like it when Phoron is being kind to other girls.

Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica (神曲奏界ポリフォニカ), also known as simply Polyphonica, is an all-age Japanese visual novel created by Ocelot and first released on the PC on April 28, 2006. Aside from the game, light novels have been created, and a manga adaptation started in March 2007.
An anime adaption started airing in Japan on April 3, 2007.
