During their childhood, Nico and Morihito used to play all the time, and although it might not seem like it, she is an apprentice witch, and he is a descendant of the oni.
Nico is very sweet, but she often gets into trouble, and Morihito usually bails her out. But on one occasion, the boy can’t control his strength and hurts another boy.
His father invites him to start training so that an accident like that doesn’t happen again. Meanwhile, Nico’s mother decides to take her back to the land of witches so she can also study her magic.
As they say goodbye, the two boys wish each other luck and promise to see each other again in the future.
Years later, Morihito still has to deal with his annoying neighbor, but now that he can handle his strength, he simply makes a fool of him.
That day, his father informs him that Nico is returning to the city and tells him that the girl’s mother wants him to become her familiar, or rather her bodyguard, since a vision from the future tells her she will be in danger.
Although it seems strange to be her familiar, Morihito accepts and is happy to see his friend again, who arrives flying through a glass door.
After greeting each other, Nico tells him she’ll repair the door, and asks Morihito for an object of high sentimental value, and when he gives her his favorite mug, the door is fixed, but his mug ends up shattered.
Nico tries to show Morihito her magic, and everything ends in chaos. However, after going shopping, they see a building on fire, and although he is against it, Nico decides to help a young girl, even if it means flying on her broomstick.
Nico wants to help people, and Morihito only wants to take care of his friend.
