In a colorful town, it is said that a spirit protects the hot spring, Touya works there and maintains everything tidy. He also makes offerings and wishes to be close to her childhood friend Haruna, who is a year older.
One day, as he makes his usual wish, he drops the offering inside the hot spring well. For some reason a girl named Hakone appears and states to be the master keeping the place.
Touya thinks something is wrong, and doesn’t understand why a little girl is in front of him, meanwhile, Hakone thanks for the offering. He can’t stop thinking this must be some sort of prank.
Hakone eats Touya’s offering and he begins to yell at her. Now, she understands why he has to make a wish to get close to a girl. To keep his wish as a secret, Touya must get Hakone something else to eat.
On their way, they meet Haruna, and Hakone doesn’t hesitate to present herself as the spirit of the hot springs. But something doesn’t match, the spirit was supposed to be a gorgeous woman, and all they see is a little girl.
As Touya and Haruna doubt Hakone she tells them she has been week after her long slumber, and that they will be amazed once she can show her real form once more.
Haruna doesn’t really care, and thanks Hakone for taking care of the hot springs. Now, Hakone thinks Haruna is such a good girl, and that Touya might not deserve to be with her.
