Four years ago, Kazuma Kannagi was defeated by Ayano for the right to be the successor of the Enraiha, a sword passed down by the Kannagi family.
His defeat, along with the fact that Kazuma had no talent in using the fire arts, which is the Kannagi family’s specialty, caused him to be banished from the family.
Kazuma formed a contract with the spirit of wind and becomes a powerful wind user. After his four year absence, Kazuma returns as Kazuma Yanagi, a skilled master of the wind arts. Although, shortly after his return, he is accused of murdering members of the Kannagi family for revenge.
Now, Kazuma has to prove he is not a traitor, but in the meantime a lot of challenges will be on his way, specially Ayano, who still believes that he is of no value for the Kannagi family.
Main Characters
Kazuma Yagami is a former member of the Kannagi household. He was banished from his family after he was defeated by Ayano during the Successor Ceremony for the Enraiha, his family’s sacred sword. Since Kazuma is a son from the main family, making him the legitimate successor, even his own father considered him a disgrace for lacking the power to use fire magic, his family’s specialty. Four years later, at the age of twenty-two, he returns to Japan as a skilled master of the wind arts. Though he was not responsible for the killings in the Kannagi household, he is prepared to start a war with his former family.
Ayano Kannagi is a sixteen year old girl who has inherited the sacred Enraiha sword of the Kannagi family. She is extremely skilled in the fire arts and is the future leader of the Kannagi family. Due to her skills, she is very arrogant and irrational, usually taking action without proper orders. Though she seems undisciplined, she is very proud of her heritage and is not averse to killing to uphold family honor. At the age of twelve, she defeated Kazuma during the Successor Ceremony for the Enraiha with one simple jutsu.
