Kiyoko is a responsible girl who has just been named class president.
She immediately notices the person sitting next to her in class. Tsuyoshi shows up every day with huge bandages.
Kiyoko fears that Tsuyoshi is being bullied or mistreated at home, so one afternoon, she and Mei decide to follow him.
What they observe is worrying: Tsuyoshi has several incidents on his way home, and when the girls notice that he’s somewhat clumsy, they rule out the possibility that someone is hurting him.
From that moment on, Kiyoko decides she’d like to be Tsuyoshi’s friend, and perhaps be able to help him.
Over the next few days, Kiyoko tries to get closer to Tsuyoshi, and he appreciates the gesture, but worries that she’ll end up caught up in his strange streaks of bad luck.
This gesture is very meaningful to Kiyoko, and after several attempts, she finally tells Tsuyoshi how she feels, although upon reflection, it seems as if she’s making a confession.
Tsuyoshi is also moved and tells her that nothing would make him happier than having a relatively normal school life. But is it possible?
