A next-generation video game goes out of control and traps online players.
That premise sounds familiar, and Shin is the hero who faces the ultimate challenge to finish the game, hoping that once defeating it, everyone will leave The New Gate for good.
Shin has some difficulties, but prevails and decides to check the list of players in his possession. Fortunately, he watches as they begin to abandon the game.
Shin decides to wait until the last moment to disconnect, but before he can do so, a huge door opens behind him.
Without realizing it, Shin wakes up in the middle of nowhere, and thinks that everything around him looks too real. However, he still has the ability to asses his abilities and use the resources he gained in The New Gate.
He decides to use an amulet that will take him to his old abode, where he hopes to meet the online characters he accumulated as companions in the game.
Once there, he is surprised to see that his house is still standing, and at the entrance, some persons drag a young woman out of the building. Her name is Tiera, and as soon as she leaves a protective field, a monster attacks.
Shin rescues her, while the other guys run in panic. Tiera thanks him for his help and asks who he is. Shin tells her that he has returned home, and that he would like to see her employer, Schnee.
Tiera tells him that she is not at home, and that she can only give his message to her. Shin gets distracted and asks her about her appearance, after all, he never saw an elf with black hair.
Tiera tells her that a curse has been placed on her, and that she ends up attracting all kinds of monsters without any cause. She was banished from her village and given a place to live by Schnee for 100 years.
Shin thinks that he has traveled to the future, after Tiera tells him about an event in which thousands of people disappeared, which would indicate the day that everyone went offline.
He lifts Tiera’s curse in an instant, and while he waits for news from Schnee, Shin decides to go to the city to register as an adventurer and begin his new adventure.
