Kurt is a teenager who has just been kicked out of a successful adventuring party. Unaware of his future, he returns to the city to look for a job.
At that moment, no one could assess his abilities, so the manager offers him a job rebuilding the city walls.
Kurt isn’t very confident, but decides to do his best so as not to disappoint his new employer. Without realizing it, the boy ends up doing an exceptional job.
To avoid causing further problems for other employees, they thank him and tell him he’ll be paid through the employment agency, but Kurt believes he did a poor job and ends up depressed.
Upon his return, he meets Yulishia, who is looking for someone to work on an excavation in a distant land.
Reluctantly, she finally accepts Kurt and informs him that they have to meet a very strict goal for the week.
To Yulishia’s surprise, Kurt is experienced, and in one day, they have practically completed their mission.
Furthermore, Kurt decides to process the materials they’ve extracted and turn them into magical crystals. A very rare skill in the kingdom, and Yulishia knows this, having once worked for them.
Yulishia decides to immediately take the crystals to the capital, where Mimico, a state magician, tells her the crystals are of exceptional value and demands Yulishia tell her who made them.
Yulishia realizes Kurt isn’t an ordinary boy and tries to hide her identity, and Mimico tells Yulishia that such talent can’t leave the empire.
Upon her return, the girl goes straight to the employment agency, asks them to inform her about Kurt and, incidentally, not to divulge what he’s achieved.
And when she meets with Kurt, she discovers that the boy has already built a house with his bare hands, despite being in the middle of the forest.
