He spots a knife in the girl’s belongings, and decides to use it, even if it represents an humiliation for a demon. Without hesitation, he stabs the monster and kills it.
Marika, the young woman, thanks Dariel for helping her, and tells him that he has fought like a hero, which is a disgrace for a demon like him.
Dariel thinks it’s a bad idea to stay with a human, but before he can leave, Marika asks him to come with her to her village, and that at least she can thank him with a nice meal.
A hungry Dariel thinks there is nothing wrong with him and agrees to accompany her. There, Marika introduces him to her parents.
Dariel begins to feel worried, if they discover his past as a demon, they will most likely torture him to death.
