When the new school year begins, you find new teachers, classmates, and even a spot within the classroom.
For Kaede, a shy and introverted boy, it is an overwhelming experience. But this year, it has been different, since Ai sits next to him.
From the first day he saw her, Kaede had a crush on Ai, but due to his shyness, he has avoided talking to her, although he usually glances at her with care. not to be noticed.
One day, something seemingly unusual happens, and Ai shows up to class without her glasses. For a moment, Kaede doubts if it’s her, and is finally surprised to see that Ai looks cuter than ever.
Suddenly, Ai says good morning to him and tells him not to be scared if he sees her angry, its just that she can’t see and makes gestures to improve her vision.
Kaede doesn’t remember talking to her for such a long time, and when Ai asks him to identify a book for the next class, he tries to get close to her to help her, but being so close to her, he panics and hands her his book over to her to use it.
Ai thanks Kaede, but instead of taking the book, she moves closer to his desk to share the book. He thinks it’s a good day to help Ai, but having her so close to him makes him unable to concentrate in class.
At the end of classes, Kaede meets Ai near the school lockers where the students keep their shoes, and sees that the girl is wearing a pair of shoes very similar to the ones he has.
Ai couldn’t read the signs correctly and once she found shoes similar to hers, she just put them on, even though they are too big for her.
Kaede helps Ai find her shoes, and seeing that her laces are tied wrong, he doesn’t hesitate to kneel down to tie them.
Ai approaches Kaede’s face, and tells her that she will thank him for his help in some way. And when he asks why she’s getting so close, she tells him that she wants to make sure she doesn’t forget his face.
At the end of the day, Kaede wishes that Ai would forget her glasses again, and to his surprise, it happens and starts feeling it is his fault, and tries to help during her classes, even when Ai falls asleep during the day, in the middle of the class.
