Kiria is a professional golfer, today she decided to leave Tokyo in search of some peace and quiet.
However, once she arrives to town, she is told that her hotel is in a wooded area, with no road for vehicles.
Without losing heart she decides to walk to her destination, but she comes across a slight detail, the bridge that crosses the river is destroyed. At those moments, Kiria observes Gawain, a boy with blonde hair approach.
Kiria thinks he is a foreign tourist, but the boy does not hesitate to play a joke before introducing himself to her.
Gawain gives her directions and tells her that he will accompany her on her way, however, the boy takes her straight to an improvised bridge with a log.
Kiria tells him that it is impossible to cross, while Gawain takes off his shoes and jumps over the log with complete skill. Kiria is surprised by his agility and balance, and she reluctantly ends up crossing, once the boy tells her that bears appear at dusk.
Kiria is exhausted, and uphill, Gawain tells her that he will carry her luggage. At that moment, Kiria is surprised by the boy’s physical strength.
Finally, Kiria arrives at her hotel, and when he questions her about her strange luggage, she explains that she plays golf and always carries some of her equipment with her.
Gawain remembers the game, and that it is usually played by old people, which bothers Kiria.
While Gawain and other boys play baseball, Kiria listens that Gawain wants to be a professional, and that he aspires to hit the ball like no one else ever did.
And although the baseball flies quite a bit, Kiria boasts that the golf ball can go even further. Gawain is intrigued and is the only one who stays with Kiria, who does not hesitate to place a ball and demonstrate her technique.
Gawain tries to imitate her, but accustomed to another position, he keeps missing the ball. Kiria decides to give him instructions, doubting that the boy can follow them to the letter, however, he hits the ball in his first try and surpasses her hit.
Gawain tells her that he already knew that position, and that thanks to his life in the mountains he has learned some tricks to do his work. He gets very excited when hitting the ball.
Kiria believes that the boy has potential, but in such a remote place it will be difficult to help him, plus he is very young and lives alone with his grandfather. She returns to Tokyo, but gives instructions to Gawain to continue practicing, and in a few years he can go with her to the city.
But after seeing his grandson’s determination, his grandfather asks Gawain not to worry about him, and that he will talk to Kiria so that he can fulfill her dream.
