As this season draws to a close, it feels like the world is taking small but meaningful steps in the right direction. More people are slowing down to value simple joys—like spending time with loved ones, appreciating nature, or finding laughter in small, everyday moments.
Of course, the world isn’t without its worries—conflict, climate change, and division still cast long shadows. But perhaps that’s why it matters even more to notice the good. Now it’s time to close out this year with the Fall Anime Season 2025, and hopefully it will build after a really strong summer season.
First, we meet Akiteru, who thinks of himself as an average student. In Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni dake Uza, some say that anytime a girl teases you, she might have some sort of feelings towards you. However, for Akiteru this is not true at all, every girl he interacts with shows him nothing but scorn. He is really interested in game-development and wants his uncle’s business to be part of his future. One day, his uncle conditions his participation if he becomes his daughter’s boyfriend. And once Iroha, his best friend’s sister finds out, she has a lot to say.
If you think that sounds complicated, wait to meet Kouyou, who possesses exceptional massage skills and dreams of becoming a sports doctor. In Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun, to secure a scholarship to medical school, he enrolls at Seiwa University Affiliated High School, a powerhouse in athletics. He takes a live-in job at the school’s dormitory to cover his expenses, and soon finds himself surrounded by a group of highly talented female athletes.
He might have a hard time, but probably nothing to what Tsuyoshi, a perennially unlucky high school boy, endures everyday. In Yano-kun no Futsuu no Hibi, Kiyoko constantly worries about him, more when she sees Tsuyoshi come into school injured. She begins to follow Tsuyoshi out of concern for him, observing his unlucky daily life, and trying to support him.
Then we meet Sae and Kouki, who have been friends forever. In Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi, for a girl, Sae has always been quite tall and Kouki below average. However, once they reach High School, Kouki has a growth spurt and now is really popular. Sae has a revelation: she has feelings for Kouki. But she isn’t the only girl who does now.
That’s hard to swallow, but not as hard as Azusa is with her peers at the office. In Bukiyou na Senpai, being smooth is not for her. However, when she meets Kamegawa, her new cute and nerdy “kouhai”, she begins to feels awkward and must figure out how to handle these new feelings.
And negative feelings such as complexes are also hard to control, and Yumeko has felt fat and ugly for long time. In Debu to Love to Ayamachi to!, a terrible accident befalls her and Yumeko wakes up as a completely different person. Now she feels cute, and those around her can’t hide their surprise and wonderment. Her new attitude begins to change her surroundings, too. And she will try to aid those around her to deal with worries and complexes she felt before.
And about complexes, imagine being a vampire and being terrible sucking blood? In Chanto Suenai Kyuuketsuki-chan, Luna is a unique transfer student and has quickly become her class’ center of attention. Tatsuta, an average guy is paired wit her for cleaning duty. Tatsuta forms a friendship with Luna, and finds out she is unable to suck blood properly! Resolved to help Luna overcome her ineptness, Tatsuta proposes to become her practice partner.
Now lets jump to the future, where Akira wakes up after 200 years of being in cold sleep. In Towa no Yuugure, the world was ravaged by war. A new unified organization leads people, and marriage has been replaced by a new system called “Elsie”. After he wakes up an android named Yugure shows up, who bears a striking resemblance to his old girlfriend, Towasa. For some reason, Yugure immediately proposes marriage to Akira, and he decides to go on a journey with Yugure and find out what happened to Towasa.
Meanwhile, in a different world, Arel, the son of “Sword Princess” Fara and “Magic King” Leon, has been branded as “Classless”. In Mushoku no Eiyuu: Betsu ni Skill Nanka Iranakattanda ga, without a job or skills, Arel still believes he can persevere through effort. He takes to training, utilizing wits and cunning to emerge as an all-new type of hero.
Having talented folks is not easy, and after a normal life in our world, Ellen finds out that her parents are special. In Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tensei-sha, her father is a legendary hero who saved the kingdom, and her mother is the queen and ruler of all spirits. Furthermore, Ellen has the overpowered ability to manipulate the elements. What will happen to her once she recalls her past life’s knowledge?
Definitely, your past can be useful, but for Marie, a former legendary martial artist, it’s a burden. In Kikaijikake no Marie, in her new job, her identity as a human must remain hidden of she might end up dead. Her new boss hates humans and starts working as a “robot” for him. Her naturally emotionless demeanor helps her maintain her “robot” disguise and flawlessly perform her duties, all while struggling to protect Arthur from assassins and her boss who seems head over heels for her.
Finally, we will meet Konoha, who spent her teen years writing about self-indulgent fantasy romance, like Dark History. In Tensei Akujo no Kurorekishi, she wakes up as its most despicable villainess. She remembers every last detail, and it is a matter of life-and-death. She has avoided the first couple of death flags, but one day a mysterious character appears and she doesn’t recall writing about him. Can he be trusted?
