In a world where magic and religion often clash to subdue society, some magicians prefer privacy.
At least that is the case for Zagan, who has acquired a property in a remote area, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, and the problems that entails.
One day mid-morning, Zagan tries to sleep after staying up late with his research, and another wizard enters his property trying to attack a young maiden.
The magician tries to tear off the young woman’s clothes, but before he can hurt her, Zagan appears. The other magician tries to convince him that as a colleague he should respect him, but Zagan does not hesitate to smashes his skull in front of the girl, who ends up fainting.
Zagan regrets scaring her and uses his magic to clean up the mess. At that moment he observes that the young woman belongs to the church and decides to transport her to another place to avoid problems.
Later, Zagan is joined by another mage, who informs him that one of the 13 Archdemons has died, and his most important possessions will be up for auction.
Upon arrival, other magicians are present, and they all aspire to take the place of the magician who has died.
Among the magician’s possessions there are all kinds of spells and research materials, but out of nowhere the figure of a girl appears who is described as a singular elf, with white hair whom the Archdemon kept as a slave.
Zagan doesn’t understand what he feels when he sees her and when the auction begins he simply offers everything he has. He feels that there is something about her that compels him to protect her, although when he tries to express it he ends up saying something terrifying.
Already in his castle, Zagan does not know how to communicate with the girl, and when she asks him how she will be sacrificed, Zagan cannot convince her that he will not harm her, but around him she only sees torture objects that were included when purchasing the property.
Zagan asks her name, and she suggests he call her Nephy. Then, the magician tells her that the first thing she should do is choose a room, she doubts it and then Zagan takes her to the top of the main tower.
Once opened, Zagan sees a guillotine in the room and Nephy thinks that she has ended her life. Zagan tells him that they need to clean and with a powerful spell he destroys everything inside the room.
Finally, Nephy relaxes a little and enjoys the view of the moon with Zagan.
