Many years have passed, but Souun is still waiting for news from his old friend Genma.
Meanwhile, Souun has dedicated his life to taking care of his old martial arts dojo, and raising a family in the process. Years later, Souun raises his three daughters, Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane.
Souun’s three daughters couldn’t be more different, Kasumi is the eldest and has undeniable maternal instincts. Nabiki seems like a bit of a lazy, but she is very intelligent and Akane is extremely strong and doesn’t stop training every day.
One day, news finally comes from Genma, who years ago offered Souun that he would train his son and offer him to his family to continue the martial arts tradition.
In other words, Genma offered to marry his son Ranma, to one of Souun’s daughters. The girls’ father is more than excited, and quickly gathers his daughters to give them the news.
Meanwhile in the city, something unusual happens, a panda chases a girl and they start fighting in the middle of a crowd.
In a moment of carelessness, the panda attacks the girl with a traffic sign and knocks her unconscious and they head to Souun’s dojo.
Upon entering, they cause a tremendous commotion, and everyone is surprised when the girl introduces herself as Ranma. Souun is disappointed, but the three daughters seem relieved.
Akane is very attentive to Ranma, and tells her that they should be friends. Knowing that she has trained for years, Akane invites her to face her in a friendly bout.
Akane does not hesitate to use all her skills and strength to face Ranma, but she simply ends up defeated.
The problems begin later, when Akane goes in to take a bath and a young man is inside. Ranma has become a man, and after several hours, Genma shows his face and begins to tell his story.
