We are in Japan, but in the year 2080, where birth rates have plummeted so drastically that the government has implemented emergency public policies.
To prevent children from growing up too quickly, their sleep hours are limited, their interaction with adults is restricted, and even marriages are arranged.
It’s the holiday season, and they say that Christmas used to be celebrated, and the arrival of Santa Claus was eagerly awaited, but today all of that seems like a myth.
Meanwhile, at a high school, it begins to snow. Kazushige and Shiori are doing schoolwork when she tells Kazushige that she’s going to kill him. But before she can attack him, other classmates appear, and Shiori stops.
Kazushige tries to understand why Shiori is acting this way. Is it perhaps her way of confessing her love for him? Another classmate tells him he’s a fool and that he should be more worried.
He reminds that Shiori’s mental state hasn’t been the best since Ichie, her only friend, was declared missing and dead.
Kazushige thinks this is one more reason to support Shiori, even though she has other plans in mind.
During gym class, it starts to snow, and despite the cold, Kazushige refuses to put on his red uniform jacket. At that moment, as he turns to look at Shiori, something happens, and Kazushige feels a sharp pain in his chest.
Later, Shiori appears before him again and tells him she has a theory: that her surname, “Sanda,” is related to the story of Santa Claus, and that if she fulfills a series of conditions, she’s sure she’ll break his curse.
Shiori is right, and when Sanda transforms, Santa Claus has never been in better physical shape.
